A Beckett-like play for little ones about friendship, (mis)communication and pure waiting.

About the production

How do we live together in this modern world? What do you do when you are just stuck with someone? Gogo and Didi are stuck at home together. It’s raining. They’re waiting. Playing one moment and fighting the next, what sort of mischief are they up to? How do they spend their time together – well, getting stuck?

A Beckett-like play for little ones, follow Gogo and Didi as they explore what it means to communicate with each other.

A young audience piece titled - STUCK, MA Creatives Diede Daalman (Directing) and Glenda Ng (Creative Producing) come together to collaborate on this piece for their love for young audiences. This production will be presented to Bath and Amsterdam audiences.

About the Director

To Diede, making theatre is about showing the absurdity of being human. The humour and tragedy of the way we interact with each other fascinates her and she tries to reflect upon this in her work. She wants to make theatre about how superficial human contact can be in this society that digitises and individualises.

Her style is in telling associative stories in image, movement and text. She directs physical and visual theatre for a young audience. She has graduated as a Theatre maker and Teacher at the Academy for Theatre and Dance, part of the Amsterdam University of Art. Upon graduation, she has been working as a theatre director and as a drama teacher in Amsterdam for a few years. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Directing at Bath Spa University.
