Salt Exhibition

A project by: Salt Exhibition 2016 Fundraising Team

Successful

WE RAISED £3,233

from 26 donors

This project received pledges on Fri 17 Jun 2016
Third year students raising funds to exhibit at the OXO Bargehouse in London.

SALT is the collaborative exhibition at the OXO Bargehouse in London formed by soon to be graduates from Fine Art, Contemporary Arts Practice and Photography courses from Bath School of Art and Design.

Our fantastic fundraising team has already raised £750 over the past month, and all 49 artists have invested £200 towards the project. We still need your help however! We're still in need of £5,160 to cover numerous expenses - such as transporting work from Bath to London, printing catalogues to commemorate the show and as souvenirs for visitors as well as providing an array of entertainment throughout the week.

Our Story

This will be the first time Bath Spa School of Art and Design students have exhibited at the OXO Bargehouse in London. We are a collaboration of students working across multiple disciplines. The money raised will help us put on a great exhibition to promote our work, whilst giving the public a fantastic opportunity to see the results of three years' hard work from a wide range of up-and-coming new artists and photographers. Ultimately, this will be the launch of our careers. Your generosity will be hugely appreciated, and it will also be an opportunity for you to get your hands on a piece of artwork by one of the 49 exhibitors as a thank you!

Featured artists:

Aisha Eveleigh, Alexia Scalbert, Alice Butler, Amber Hardwick, Amelia Bowles, Ben Jones, Camilla Mulry, Charlotte Moorhead, Chloe Bennetts, Daisy Dixon, Daisy Tyszkiewicz, Elizabeth Hawthorn, Emily Chainey, Evangeline Blackburn, Freya Duckett, Hannah Green, Hannah Kent, Hannah Thomas, Hatty Butler, Harry Hancock, Honor Carter, Isabelle Hogarth, Jack Delaney, James Blagburn, Jamie Daniels, Jo Walton, John Lloyd, Josephine Clegg, Kathleen Plummer, Katie Weller, Laura Mallet, Laura Thomas, Leah Coley-Fisher, Liz Clark, Mac Honeyman, Martha Kelsey, Oliver Webster, Ottilie Rounce, Patricia Savary de Beauregard, Poppy Clover, Rachel Wong, Robert Haworth-Dunne, Sam Howland, Sam Morgan, Sophie Harrington, Thomas Katan, Toby Hart, Toby Rainbird-Webb, and Weronika Karczewska.

Where?

BargehouseOxo Tower Wharf, South Bank, London. Check out the Bargehouse link to take a peak at our exciting venue!

When?

SALT will be open to the public from the 28th July - 31st July. Come and see us!

Where will the money go?

The Private View, on the evening of Thursday 28th July – which donors would be invited to – is a key chance for our efforts to be cemented, and the exhibition launched for critical review. With funds behind us, we would have the means to make this a special evening, becoming of the OXO Bargehouse’s prestigious location and repute.

The more money we raise, the better our show will be. Short and sweet, SALT will nevertheless flavour our careers for years to come. Engagement with the public and professionals of central London is top of our agenda. A complimentary catalogue for the first 500 visitors, artist and supporter will enable the endurance of our otherwise fleeting presence on the Southbank. A collaboration with our contemporary graduates in Graphic Communication, this catalogue’s intention is to showcase Bath Spa’s brimming talents, and mark our arrival to the national and international art scene.

Our minimum target of £3,000 will ensure that the significant cost of printing and couriers from Bath to London will be covered.

Our fundraising breakdown:

- Silent auction: £500

- Club night: £200

- Print sale £50

- Venue hire (one week): £5520
