An evening of dance solos by early career dancers from all over the country

What is new impulses?

Young performers are coming together to bring an exciting programme of dance to the centre of Bath, and give you a unique glimpse into the new impulses in movement with a varied collection of solo dance performances and conversation during a space for exchange afterwards.

New Impulses is designed to give dancers who are at the very beginning of their careers an opportunity to perform and shine in their own unique ways. Additionally, we want to give Bath audiences the chance to experience new dance right in front of their doorstep and feel connected to the art form, whether they are new to it or already seasoned dance enthusiasts.

Dancers include current and previous students of Bath Spa University, as well as guests travelling in from London, Gloucester, Chesterfield and more.

This project will be presented as a part of SparkFest and is produced by Katharina Willrett, MA Dance student at BSU.

Where will the money go?

The money raised within the target of this campaign will go towards the dancers' travelling costs on the day of the show and printing and material expenses.

In line with our mission to support young dancers, New Impulses strives to be able to recompensate our artists for the time and effort put into choreographing, rehearsing and performing their pieces. Any extra funds will go towards supporting them and are greatly appreciated.
