A short summary of your project
We are trying to raise £650 to launch our MA show, at Bath Spa University's brand new Locksbrook campus on 20th September, 2019. We will be hosting a Show Opening event, which will be the first public event in the former Herman Miller factory building, after its transformation. This will be a night of celebration for our students, VIPs, and potential buyers. After all our hard work during our courses this year, we've spent a lot of time and energy to produce a professional show, with a fantastic catalogue and promotional materials. We plan on delivering a programme of events to enliven and activate the MA show, running throughout the week.
Who are you?
We are a group of Masters students from the areas of Fine Art, Curatorial Practice, Visual Communications, Fashion, Textiles, and Ceramics, from all over the world, who are preparing to graduate from Bath Spa University this year.
We want to ensure that this years degree show is the best yet, allowing an opportunity for us celebrate our hard work within the new campus. We aim for a memorable show opening experience, filled with diverse events, speakers and screenings run by artists throughout the show. Through these events and activations there will be an emphasis on environmental crisis issues. By donating you will be helping us create a polished professional opening night and a succesful week of events, to impress potential clients, gallerists, curators and future students.
Where will the money go?
We will be spending the funding on running events led by Curatorial Practice students, involving students work and ideas as well as inviting visiting speakers. We aim to run these events with graduating students from all disciplines, as well as working with outside speakers and artists. Cruratorial Practice, will also be running activations, focussing on environmental crisis issues.
Funding will also be used to pay designers, for creating the show identity, catalogue and for the printing of materials.
